It all started in 1968. We had decided we wanted to snowmobile as our family activity. The problem was we were young and short on money. This was a great opportunity for us to get into our first home based business of selling snowmobiles. We named our business Bluebird Sales and started as a simple proprietorship.
For the next three years this was our home business. It gave us the financial base we needed and snowmobiling became a family passion for the next two decades. We loved it and the kids loved it. It helped bring us very close as a family.
In the summer we would travel, first in our homemade camper, and then in a camper and trailer that our home business was able to provide.
In 1978 we incorporated the business as Bluebird Enterprises, Inc. and got into a franchise. That was a great home business that went on for years until the franchise company sold out and we ended up getting out too.
Other ventures have kept the business going and producing the extra income we needed early on for the extras and for the last twenty years it has been our primary source of income.
We were able to do the things we wanted as a family. We were able to travel together and to play together. We were at the kid's sporting events and activities. We lived life on our terms. It was a relaxed, yet adventurous, life for our family.
We have seen the sunrises and the sunsets. As a family we have explored our backyard in Idaho as well as seen the wonders of the country from Oregon to Washington DC and from California to Florida.
Through the years it has given us what we wanted out of life; a close family and financial freedom. This family picture is what it was all about for us.
